Trina Basu and Arun Ramamurthy reimagine the potential of string Chamber Music for our global times. The New York City duo explores beauty found at the intersections of their musical paths, where original compositions weave together threads of South Indian classical, Western chamber music, jazz and creative improvisation. Varying colors, shapes and sounds emerge from the ensemble with their esteemed collaborators, who have included cellists Marika Hughes and Jake Charkey, percussionists Dan Kurfirst and Rich Stein, bassist Rashaan Carter and guitarist Shane Perlowin. Their divergent musical journeys have been central to their work together as creative performers. They are both founding members of musicians collective Brooklyn Raga Massive and play with various projects around NYC and abroad.
